Quito-Plazas & Santa Cruz Islands-Charles Darwin Station
MONDAY-You will be met and transferred to the Quito airport to the Tame flight #193 departing on at 9:15 a.m. arriving Baltra at 9:45 a.m. You will be met & transferred to to Itabaca Channel (between Baltra and Santa Cruz islands) to cross by small ferry. Then continue by road through the highlands of Santa Cruz to the Charles Darwin Research Station. Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and the giant tortoise pens, an impressive giant prickly-pear cactus forest and many land birds. To take fullest advantage of arrival day, boarding of the Fragata will be at late afternoon (no earlier than 17:30). Naturalist's briefing on the next day's activities, welcome cocktail offered with the dinner. ( L/D )
Santa Cruz & Santa Fe Islands
TUESDAY-This morning we will take an excursion by bus to the highlands of SANTA CRUZ Island. The Scenery will continuously change as you ascend through all seven vegetation zones of the Galapagos. When present (June-January), passengers will be able to view the giant tortoises at a farm in the highlands. Then we will visit Santa Fe Island, where you will see blur foot booby, masked booby, lava lizard, land iguana, giant tortoise, and leaf-toes geckoes. Recap and a briefing before dinner. ( B/L/D )
Espanola Island
MONDAY-This morning, we visit Gardner Bay, ESPAYOLA (Hood) which is situated on the north eastern portion of Espanola facing Gardner Islet. We walk along the long sand beach and see many colonies of sea lions and Darwing Finches. There is a good opportunity to swim and snorkel amongst the Galapagos sea life. We will disembark at Punta Suarez, EspaZola (Hood), an island loaded with wildlife. As we land on the beach, we are greeted by a noisy colony of sea lions and curios mockingbirds. Here, you'll see the waived albatross, who in season performs his strange mating ritual, colonies of blue footed and masked boobies busily care for their young. Darwin' Finches, the Galapagos Dove, Hawk and swallow tailed gulls find shelter under the cliffs, along with the beautiful red-billed tropic birds. Marine Iguanas with unique traces of red and green (found only on Hood) soak up sun on at the rocks sharing the shoreline with the colorful sally light foot crabs, next to the famous "blow hole". After dinner and weather permitting, stargazing on deck ( B/L/D )
Floreana Island
WEDNESDAY-After breakfast, After breakfast, we will visit Floreana Island, the sites Post Office, Point Cormorant and Devil's Crown. In Post Office we will visit the famous barrel, a do-it-yourself postal service set up by 18th century whalers. Cruise by "loberia" islet with sea lions colonies. Then we will visit Point Cormorant, home to an olivine-crystal beach & pink flamingos inhabiting a secluded lagoon. A short walk away is a white-sand beach where sea turtles nest. Nearby is Devil’s Crown with a beautiful coral formation and great snorkeling. Farewell cocktail and instructions for departure. ( B/L/D )
North Seymour & Baltra
THURSDAY-This morning you will visit North Seymour Islands which is habitat by Frigate bird nesting colonies, sea lions, blue footed boobies, seagulls, marine and land iguanas. Then you will be transferred to Baltra Airport to the TAME flight #192 departing at 12:45 p.m. arriving Quito at 4:45 p.m.

Baltra - Bartolome
WEDNESDAY-You will be met and transferred to the Quito airport and the Tame Airlines flight #193 departing on at 9:15 a.m. arriving Baltra at 9:45 a.m. You will be met & transferred to BARTOLOME where it seems like we are walking on the moon as this young Island is inhospitable to most plants and animals. The volcanic formations include lava bombs as well as spatter cones and cinder cones. After a dry landing, we have a 30 minute steep climb to a summit of a once active volcano for a panoramic view including the famous "Pinnacle Rock", an eroded tuff cone. Down below, the water is crystal clear where we can swim and snorkel with schools of fish. Penguins are usually spotted in this area. On the other side, is another beach with sea turtles and white-tipped sharks.( L/D )
Isabella - Ferdanina
THURSDAY-This morning, we disembark at Punta Espinoza, FERNANDINA. Along the shoreline hundreds of marine iguanas bask in the sun - the largest colony in Galapagos. There are many sea lions with resident bulls are present. Flightless Cormorants build their nests on the point and often Galapagos Hawks fly up overhead. Recent lava flows formed by an active volcano are evident. This afternoon, we visit Tagus Cove, ISABELA, the largest Island in Galapagos created by six volcanos that flowed together. Graffiti dating back to the 1800's is written on the rocky cliff. The trail leads to a salt water lagoon and a great view of the lava fields, volcanic formation and the ocean. A ride by panga or sea kayak reveals marine life and Galapagos penguins. ( B/L/D
Santiago Island- Rabida
FRIDAY-This morning, we walk along the shore at Puerto Egas, SANTIAGO (James) looking for octopus, starfish and other sea life caught in the small pools as the tide went out. We also see the great blue heron, a lava heron, oyster catchers and yellow crowned night heron. If the tide is low, we'll see marine iguanas grazing on the exposed green algae. Our walk ends at the grottos, deep pools of clear water where we encounter the fur sea lion. Once though to be on the verge of extinction This afternoon, we disembark on RABIDA ISLAND ( Jervis) located off James Island. Rabida has the most diversified volcanic rocks of all islands and shy its often termed the geographic center of Galapagos. The dark red colored beach is volcanic in origin. The trail leads to a salt water lagoon, where we may find flamingos feeding. The mangroves at the far side of the lagoon are nesting area for the brown pelican. After the walk , there is an excellent opportunity to snorkel. ( B/L/D )

The M/V Galapagos Explorer II ...
is the is a 293.14 feet ocean-going cruise ship. Navigating the Galapagos Islands at a speed of 17 knots, the Explorer II enables passengers to see more of Galapagos in less time. It has capacity for 105 passengers, but due to the National Park regulations, it only carries 100 passengers. Six naturalist guides aboard lead daily shore excursions and offer nightly briefings to prepare passengers for the islands to be visited the next day.
The ship provides all the facilities and services to make the cruises enjoyable and comfortable. FRIDAYEarly cruise into the Bolivar Channel where the cool waters will give Galapagos a not-so-tropical landscape. This can be rewarded with the possibility of observing dolphins or whales. The colossal young volcanoes are just breath taking. Morning disembarkation at Tagus Cove, a protected natural harbor. A walk uphill takes you around Darwin's salt-water crater lake for a superb view. There is also the possibility of a dinghy ride along the shoreline to see the unique fauna of the largest island in the Archipelago. Galapagos Penguins along the shore are always a highlight. Possibility for swimming and snorkeling. Lunch on board. The afternoon brings us to the youngest island, Fernandina. First, a dinghy ride to observe penguins, as well as flightless cormorants and then disembark (dry landing) for a one-mile walk. Punta Espinoza has an amazing combination of barrenness with lots of wildlife. Having no introduced mammals, Fernandina has a very unique environment with the highest density of marine iguanas, sharing their space with sea lions, sally-light foot crabs, and hawks. SATURDAY-Before breakfast, scenic cruise along Bolavar Channel and possible observation of whales and/or dolphins. Breakfast and disembarkation (wet landing) for a medium-length walk at Urbina Bay to look for giant tortoises and land iguanas. This place went through a volcanic uplifting event back in 1954 leaving gaunt marine skeletons, which make the walk remarkably interesting. Those who wish may take either only a short walk along the beach, or a longer walk towards the interior of the island. Possibility for swimming and snorkeling. Back on board for lunch.The forces of the Galapagos volcanoes can be easily witnessed here. Afternoon outing (dry landing) for a medium length walk at Punta Moreno (west of Isabela Island) to observe unique lava flows and small lagoons with bird life. Those who do not wish to take the shore excursion may enjoy a panga ride along the shoreline to observe birds and marine iguanas. Evening conference and dinner. Afternoon excursion at Punta Suarez (dry landing) for an exciting walk on lava terrain to visit its unique sea bird colonies, including the waved albatrosses ( April - December) and the famous blowhole. Great hike for blue-footed boobies, swallowtail gulls, the Hood island mockingbird, red-green-black marine iguanas, and of course a rookery of sea lions right at the landing site. MONDAY-After breakfast, a boat ride along the shores of tuff-stone layers and then disembark at a white Coraline beach at Cerro Brujo (wet landing). There is opportunity for swimming and observing seabirds and shore birds, as well as Galapagos sea lions. Then go back on board and navigate right by Kicker Rock, a small islet whose cliffs are home to many sea birds, including frigate birds. Great landscape photography. After lunch, disembark at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and transfer to the airport for the departing Tame Airlines flight #193 at 1:00 p.m. arriving Quito at 4:40 p.m.

Then continue by road through the highlands of Santa Cruz to the Charles Darwin Research Station. Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and the giant tortoise pens, an impressive giant prickly-pear cactus forest and many land birds. To take fullest advantage of arrival day, boarding of the Isabella will be at late afternoon (no earlier than 17:30). Naturalist's briefing on the next day's activities with a welcome cocktail offered by the Captain and then dinner. ( CB/L/D )
Darwin Bay (Tower Island)Prince Philip's Steps (Tower Island)
SATURDAY-Morning wet landing for an easy stroll observing thousands of bird life, mainly frigate birds, red footed and masked boobies, gulls, herons, finches and mockingbirds. If you wish you can continue walking over sharp lava and uneven terrain, or just go back to the beach to enjoy swimming and snorkeling at this beautiful natural harbor. Those most adventurous can look for Hammerhead sharks, snorkeling along the cliffs. After lunch on board the afternoon starts with a very interesting panga ride along the cliffs and then disembark (dry landing) on rocks for a steep climb (90 feet) and then a leveled walk for about a mile to the other side of this small island observing large colonies of masked boobies, frigate birds, storm petrels and the short-eared owl. The day concludes with a briefing and dinner with the Naturalist's guide.( B/L/D )
Punta Espinoza (Fernandina Island)Urbina Bay (Isabela Island)
SUNDAY-Early risers will enjoy the dramatic landscape of the youngest volcanoes in Galapagos, like volcano Ecuador, whose collapsed crater is partly under water, while crossing the Equator line. It is here where the coolest waters are found, with possible chance to observe whales and dolphins. Then to Punta Espinoza (Fernandina Island) The morning brings us to the youngest island, Fernandina. We will disembark (dry landing) for a one-mile walk. Punta Espinoza has an amazing combination of barrenness with lots of wildlife. Having no introduced mammals, Fernandina has a very unique environment with the highest density of marine iguanas, sharing their space with sea lions, sally- light foot crabs, hawks, penguins and the flightless cormorant. Lunch on board. Urbina Bay (Isabela Island) After lunch on board the afternoon continues on a scenic cruise along Bolívar Channel and possible observation of whales and/or dolphins. Disembarkation (wet landing) for a medium-length walk at Urbina Bay to look for giant tortoises and land iguanas. This place went through a volcanic uplifting event back in 1954 leaving gaunt marine skeletons, which make the walk remarkably interesting. Those who wish may take either only a short walk along the beach, or a longer walk towards the interior of the island. Swimming and snorkeling depending on local conditions. In the early evening we will discuss the days events and dinner. Weather permitting, stargazing on deck ( B/L/D )
Puerto Egas (James Island) Bartolome Island
MONDAY-Wet landing for a mid-length walk. Most of the landscape is tuff-stone layers and lava flows. This is a great opportunity to see land and marine birds. At low tide, marine iguanas graze upon the algae beds and there is a colony of fur-sea lions. This are is good snorkeling and swimming from the beach after the walk. Return to the boat for lunch on board while navigating to Bartolome Island. Upon arrival we will disembark at (dry landing) for a hike to the summit. This is a steep climb aided by a wooden staircase; the view from the top is worth the effort. There will be time for a panga ride around Pinnacle Rock to observe penguins, enjoy the beach (wet landing), snorkeling and swimming from the beach, or a ride on the glass-bottom boat. Return to the boat and enjoy a cocktail & dinner during the final nights briefing with the guide. ( B/L/D )
Baltra - Quito
TUESDAY-After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the Islands and transfer to the airport for the departing Tame Airlines flight #193 at 1:00 p.m. arriving Quito at 4:40 p.m.

Baltra Island & Bachas
SUNDAY-Transfer on your own to the Quito airport and TAME flight #191 departing at 7:30 a.m.arrive into Baltra Island at 9:45 a.m. You will be met and transferred to the Aida Mari boat and then to proceed to Santa Cruz Island. Here you will continue to Bachas beach have our first contact and walk and walk on the beautiful and soft white sand, characteristic of the Galapagos Islands. ( L/D )
Plazas & Santa Fe Islands
MONDAY-This morning, we walk along the shore of Plazas islands looking for octopus, starfish and other sea life caught in the small pools as the tide went out. We also see Lava Lizard, Land Iguana, blue foot booby, cactus ground finch, small ground finch. After lunch, you will visit Santa Fe Island, where you will see blur foot booby, masked booby, lava lizard, land iguana, giant tortoise, and leaf-toes geckoes. ( B/L/D )
Espanola Islands
TUESDAY-This morning, we visit Gardner Bay, ESPANOLA (Hood) which is situated on the north eastern portion of EspaZola facing Gardner Islet. We walk along the long sand beach and see many colonies of sea lions and Darwin Finches. There is a good opportunity to swim and snorkel amongst the Galapagos sea life. We will disembark at Punta Suarez, Espanola (Hood), an island loaded with wildlife. As we land on the beach, we are greeted by a noisy colony of sea lions and curios mockingbirds. Here, you'll see the albatross, who in season performs his strange mating ritual, colonies of blue footed and masked boobies busily care for their young. Darwin' Finches, the Galapagos Dove and Hawk and swallow tailed gulls find shelter under the cliffs, along with the beautiful red-billed tropic birds. Marine Iguanas with unique traces of red and green (found only on Hood) soak up sun on at the rocks sharing the shoreline with the colorful sally light foot crabs, next to the famous "blow hole." Floreana Islands
WEDNESDAY-After breakfast, we will visit Floreana Is, the sites Post Office, Point Cormorant and Devil's Crown. In Post Office we will visit the famous barrel, a do-it-yourself postal service set up by 18th century whalers. Cruise by "loberia" islet with sea lions colonies. Then we will visit Point Cormorant, home to an olivine-crystal beach and pink flamingos inhabiting a secluded lagoon. A short walk away is a white-sand beach where sea turtles nest. Nearby is Devil’s Crown with a beautiful coral formation and a great place for snorkeling. ( B/L/D )
Highlands of Santa Cruz & Baltra Islands
THURSDAY-After breakfast, you will visit the famous Charles Darwin Research Station staffed with international scientists doing biological research and conservation projects. Have your picture taken with the giant tortoises and see the one year old miniature versions that are part of the breeding program. Then you will be transferred to Baltra Airport to the TAME flight #190 departing 10:45 a.m. arriving in Quito at 2:45 p.m. ( B )
