| Day 1- |
You will be met at your hotel in Cuzco and transfer by bus to the town of Chilca and the starting point of the trek. Your adventure of a lifetime will begin here.
After a short hike you will be registered into the National Park at Llactapata. All the camping gear is carried by our staff giving you the time to enjoy the beautiful scenic views.
We will hike along the Cusichaca river then on into the Amazon basin to our first camp site near Huayllabamba. ( B/L/D ) |
| Day 2- |
Today a steeper climb takes us through part of the mountain forest and up
to Llullupampa.
Here you will get your first glimpse of the Vilcabamba range as we climb to the Warmihuanunca
Pass ( 13,490 ft. ) then descend to an area near the orchid zone. Our second night of camp
will be set near the Inca outpost of Pacasmayo, where near by archaeology can be observed.

| Day 3- |
We start our day by climbing to the 13,000 ft pass to the ruins of
Runcuracay. As we descend into the rainforest you will notice a change in the vegitation.
Our hike then leads us to the archaeological site of Sayajmarca and through an Inca tunnel
opening at Phuyupatamarca ruins, where our camp will be
set. ( B/L/D )

| Day 4- |
A rapid descent takes us through the cloud forest to the ruins of Winay
Wayna. The trail continues onward leading you to Inti Punku,"The Gate of The Sun". Here you
will get your first magnificent view of the forgotten city Machu Picchu. Our staff will explain
the history and the myths of this archaeological site. In the afternoon you will transfer by
train / bus back to your hotel in Cuzco. ( B ) |
